Recently a floor to ceiling window has been put into the sitting room giving a lighter more spacious feel to the room. Having a clear view of the Bay with its wonderful wildlife and spectacular views over the Dee Estuary and Ben Gairn beyond will be appreciated by all who visit
Linen is not supplied, but this can be arranged for a small charge of £6 per person. For this the beds are made up and towels and tea towels supplied.
Coal is supplied for the open fire in the lounge which has a back boiler which heats the water, although there is an immersion heater if required. There are night storage heaters in the main bedrooms and a warm air heater in the kitchen.
As well as a cot and high chair there is also a child-proof fire-guard,
a gate for doorways, and a bed guard for smaller children for use on
adult beds.
On arrival the electricity meter is read and the first £5 is free. On departure the meter is read again and any balance is then payable. It is a white meter with the daily rate charged at 8p per therm and the night rate at 3p.
Well behaved dogs are welcome. Each dog is charged at £15 per week per dog. Dog owners are requested to clean messes up after their pets in the garden and to dry wet animals before they enter the cottage.
There is a small sheltered enclosed garden suitable for outdoor meals and
barbeques and is safe for children and pets to play.
As rubbish accumulates visitors are asked to use the black sacks provided and place in the coal house which is outside the cottage in the yard.
